Refund Policy
Effective October 29, 2026.
Farside Research separates failed work, subscription charges and prepaid credits so each can be handled predictably.
Failed research work
Farside Research reserves credits before paid work begins. If work fails or is cancelled, unused reserved credits return to the organization automatically. If you cancel after some steps finish, credits for the completed steps are kept and the rest return automatically.
Subscriptions
You can cancel from Billing at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless law requires another result. Email support@farsideresearch.com promptly about duplicate or incorrect charges.
Prepaid credits
Unused prepaid credit purchases are reviewed individually when required by law or when a duplicate charge occurred. Credits already consumed by completed work are not refundable, including when you disagree with a research output or find it incomplete.
Other cases
A prorated refund under the subprocessor objection right in the Data Processing Addendum is handled as that addendum describes. Commercial licenses for StateFrame and other Farside open-source engines are governed only by the Farside Research Commercial License Agreement, and this policy does not apply to them.
