Data Processing Addendum

Effective October 27, 2026.

This addendum describes how Farside Research LLC processes personal data on behalf of a Farside Research customer. It forms part of the Terms of Service. The customer is the controller of personal data in its research content, and Farside Research LLC is its processor.

Instructions and confidentiality

We process customer data only to provide Farside Research, follow documented customer instructions, maintain security and meet legal obligations. People with access are bound by confidentiality.

Subprocessors

The customer authorizes the subprocessors listed on the Subprocessors page. We bind each one to data protection obligations at least as protective as this addendum and update that page before adding a material subprocessor. A customer may object to a new subprocessor on reasonable data protection grounds by emailing support@farsideresearch.com within 15 days of the update. If we cannot resolve the objection, the customer may end the affected service and receive a prorated refund of prepaid fees for it.

Security and incidents

We use tenant boundaries, encryption, least-privilege access, audit trails and credential rotation. We notify affected customers of a confirmed personal data breach without undue delay.

Deletion and assistance

We support reasonable requests for access, deletion, export, audits and data subject rights. Customer data is deleted after the applicable retention or grace period unless law requires longer storage.

Liability

Each party's liability under this addendum is subject to the limitation of liability in the Terms of Service, unless applicable law does not allow it to be limited.
