Product changelog

What changed, and why it matters.

Material product, API, security, and reliability changes. Cosmetic edits stay out of the way.

  1. Ask your research, research workflows, and richer reports

    • Ask your research: a conversation over your reports that answers only from their retained sources, cites each claim, takes follow-up questions, and says plainly when the evidence does not cover the question.
    • Research workflows: build research pipelines in a visual editor, run them on demand or on a schedule, add approval steps, and see the most a run can cost before it starts. Available in the app, the REST API, and MCP.
    • Reports now follow a clear outline with tables, charts, key figures, and timelines. Every number in a chart or key figure is checked against the sources before it is shown.
    • Citations open a preview card with the source's site, title, a short summary, and its quality and relevance scores, so you can check a source before leaving the report.
    • Sharper source selection: off-topic and duplicate pages are filtered out before synthesis, and each kept source is graded for relevance as well as quality.
    • Optional auto top-up with a threshold, a chosen pack, and a monthly limit.
    • A redesigned web app with clearer navigation and one primary action on each screen.
  2. Farside Research standalone product foundation

    • Cited research runs, source inspection, follow-up questions, rabbit holes, dossiers, and six export formats.
    • Organization-scoped REST and hosted MCP access with rotating API keys, signed webhooks, and auditable credit settlement.
    • Self-service account security, billing, usage exports, data exports, notifications, and deletion controls.
